Group Announcements  Marshall Chess TournamentThe Marshall Chess Tournament will take place 20 February. See Flyer for details. Please send your child(ren) names and grade level for those who are planning to attend by Wednesday, February 17th so we may submit the team sign up for registration.
Porter Chess TournamentWe had 40 Porter students participate this weekend (01/12) in the Chess Tournament. At the primary level we took second place. We had 7 people get medals or trophies:

 Tournaments are not just for advanced playersplease be aware that chess tournament participants are paired with similarly skills players based on their on individual chess rating once they have attended a tournament. These are wonderful opportunities to advance your child’s chess skills. The more players we have in attendance the better we will tend to do in our overall team results. We Need You!!!We are still looking for more volunteers. All skill levels needed including those who have never played.
